Your Dappr Financial Account is designed to be the central hub for your business finances. To help you connect it with other financial tools you may use (such as budgeting apps, lending platforms, or other financial services), Dappr integrates with Plaid.
Plaid is a secure financial technology service that allows you to link your Dappr account to thousands of other applications. This guide explains how to make that connection and what information is shared.
How to connect your Dappr account
If you want to share your Dappr Financial Account data with a third-party application, first confirm that they use Plaid to link bank accounts. Most major financial apps do.
The connection process is initiated from within the third-party app, not from Dappr.
In the third-party app, follow their instructions to link a new bank account.
When Plaid's search window appears, search for "Dappr" in the list of financial institutions.
Select Dappr and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to log in to your Dappr account to authorize the sharing of your data.
Once you have successfully authorized the connection, the third-party app will be able to securely access your account information.
What information is shared?
When you authorize a connection via Plaid, you are giving the third-party application permission to access specific data from your Dappr Financial Account. This can include:
Account Transactions: A history of your deposits, withdrawals, and card spending.
Accountholder Details: Information about your business, including name and contact information.
Balance Information: Your current and historical account balances.
Monthly Account Statements: PDF copies of your official monthly statements.
Other Metadata: Basic account details, such as the date the account was opened.
How to disconnect an app (withdraw consent)
It is important to manage which applications have access to your financial data.
Currently, Dappr does not offer a self-serve dashboard to view and disconnect apps you have linked via Plaid. To withdraw your consent and close a connection, we recommend the following steps:
Contact the Third-Party Service First: The easiest and fastest way to disconnect your account is usually through the settings of the third-party application itself. Look for a "Linked Accounts" or "Connections" section in their settings menu.
โContact Dappr Support: If you are unable to disconnect the account through the third-party app, or if they are unresponsive, you can ask our team to manually close the connection. Please send an email to [email protected] and be sure to include the name of the application or platform that you wish to disconnect from your Dappr account.
